Bucharest just became Erasmus Capital of the World this week, hosting 1000 international students from 42 countries! Delighted to have delivered a keynote speech at the largest-ever Erasmus Generation Meeting Opening Ceremony at Universitatea POLITEHNICA din București!
You know what they say: ”once #Erasmus, always #Erasmus”!
What started as a dream in 1987, with only 3244 students and 11 countries involved, became one of the greatest unifying achievements in the history of our Union 🇪🇺.
With a revised annual work programme for 2023 and a record-breaking budget of €4.43 billion, Erasmus+ is the perfect opportunity to take part in a life-changing experience.
The next generation of Europeans is the driving force of progress, and the European Union is here to empower it.
Thank you, dear representatives of the Erasmus Student Network, for organizing such an ambitious event! 👏 Alex Pieptea; Iulia Ghimpeteanu; Sabina Achim for moderating, Juan Rayón González; Piet Van Hove; Luís F. L. de Amorim and Monica Calota for all your efforts!
