They say life is a journey! Well… now we have the path: Via Transilvanica!
️After winning the Public Choice Award at the European Heritage Awards Ceremony, Romania’s own “camino” just got digitalised!
From now on, Via Transilvanica can also be experienced online, on Google Street View!

What’s cool about Via Transilvanica?
– it is the first and the longest hiking trail in Romania
– it spans more than 1,400 kilometres
– it passes through around 400 communities
– it showcases 12 UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Via Transilvanica was inaugurated in 2022 after four years of dedicated work with the involvement of local communities and over 10,000 volunteers.
The trail is marked by signposts and Andesite milestones, individually carved by national and international artists, which beautifully embellish the entire route.
