There are days that capture the full diversity of what it means to represent the European Union in Romania!
8th of October was one of them:
🤝 accompanied commissioner Christophe Hansen and met with Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan to discuss Romania’s agriculture priorities within the European family.
⚖️ attended the first Rule of Law Forum with Konrad Adenauer Stiftung and Faculty of Law, a space for dialogue between institutions, academia, and civil society — a reminder that democracy is never a given, but a living practice.
🐄 And by afternoon, I was standing in the middle of a family-run 2000 cows farm – Afiliu- talking with farmers about EU support, sustainability, and the challenges of rural life.
From constitutional principles to the rhythm of the countryside — the EU’s work touches every corner of society. That’s what makes this job so meaningful: connecting the big picture with the everyday reality of citizens.
