The race for our attention is on! Are we datasets to be harvested and sold? Is our attention a commodity? Are we living in an attention economy? Are we drowning in a sea of information overload? Has public sphere eroded into conspiracy theories and what-about-ism deflecting attention from real issues?
Odysseus bound himself to the ship so as not to be lured by the sirens’ song. What is our modern path of action? Reclaiming control, opting out when possible, regulate so have sense of agency over our own lives.
